Be a foster for the Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department and give a long-term dog a badly-needed break from the shelter. Our recent pet of the week, Hugo, had been in the shelter since January 28th of 2018. A kind soul took Hugo into her home for a few weeks to give him a break, he came back to the shelter and went to Lucky Paws in Coronado Mall and quickly found his forever home. This is a great way to save a life, as many dogs who have been in the shelter a long time get kennel stress and need to get out and get their health and sanity back.
